As you may or may not be aware, Newport-online has recently had a new Webmaster.

Dave, who has been taking care of the site for 6 years has recently taken a very well earned retirement from his job, and is hoping to move away from the area to be closer to his family. Dave will be very missed by the Newport community as a whole, and his efforts will not be forgotten.

Over 6 years ago, Dave realised that certain businesses within the local community were hard to find contact information for, and the idea of Newport-online was born. The site started off at a mere 6 pages, all of which were both designed and maintained by Dave.

Over the years, the site has grown, and now has a huge compilation of businesses and organisations within the area, along with plenty of other useful information.

Dave has thouroughly enjoyed his time as the webmaster for Newport-online, and has enjoyed meeting many interesting people along the way. He is completely self taught and has gradually improved the site over the years as his knowledge has grown.

The new webmaster for Newport-online is called Ben. Although, over time, he will implement changes throughout the site, please be assured that the main content and purpose of the site will not deviate from Dave's original intentions, which were that any business operating within the TF10 post code area is eligible for a free listing (by request only, and at the webmaster's discretion), and any non-profit organisation within the area may have a page allocated for free to promote their activities. We always have, and will continue to rely on the general public to inform us of any new businesses, or changes to exisiting ones. We simply do not have the time to gather such information ourselves.
